Intro
My name is Truly Vemane. I was born in fire, and to fire I will one day return.
I was inducted into the capsuleer program after years of debacle and strife, and the royal family not wanting to let even one of their lower level royalty go. I am Amarrian by name and nature, and uphold the Empire's values until death. I did my time in the courts, and when the time came, action must be taken. Diplomacy and words can be left to men lesser than I. All that needs to be understood is power. Who has it, who can take it, and who can use it. My political prowess means nothing in space, where all that matters is who has the bigger ship, and more weapon hardpoints. I understand the principals of ship combat, having seen a Royal Amarrian Fleet decimate the scum of the Gallente Federation at six years old. I watched from the deck of my personal flagship, given to me as one of many birthrights. But birthrights only can fulfill one's greed so far. I wanted to be the one out there destroying these ships, not watching from the sidelines like a spectator. And so I enrolled in the capsuleer program.
I was not born a capsuleer, and the transition to become one was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. The implants that run along my spine feel cold and alien to me. And beautiful. I touch them from time to time and feel the lightning coursing through my veins. Training was intensive, but I was able to pull through. I was mocked for not being born a capsuleer and for transitioning to one by many Amarrian subjects. I kept quiet and kept my head down, and took note of their names. It may prove useful to me later, should I come across any in the deep, dark, void of space.
My first day was truly eventful. The station came under pirate fire, a faction I did not recognize. It is what we deserved for being so far from any parts of normal space. I was swiftly evacuated, and found a frigate class Astero among the rubble. As we were fleeing, the pirates came again. I was instructed on how to fight and began engaging what ships I could. It was the most selfless and gratifying thing I have ever done in my entire life. The defense force and the captain who trained me was truly a good man. He defended me in my borrowed frigate class until the end. When the end came, I knew it was merely the start. The cloning process was explained to me, and I was excited to experience it. There was nothing on my original biological body that I coveted to keep. It was a rush, more exhilarating than any drug I have ever consumed. And then there I was. In my body, but not my original one. That one was now left floating among the stars, for the raiders to scavenge and toy with. Now I train. and now I wait. My time will come. The Empire's time will come.
My name is Truly Vemane. And I will set the universe on fire.
